As we approach the 5 year anniversary of the fatal, and horrific natural disaster, we’d like to remember how it affected roofing companies in Spring TX, as well as all of Houston. We want to be informative on the subject, and educate homeowners on the facts from the disaster, as well as ways we can better prepare for another natural disaster such as this one.
We understand that there are people still in our communities that had lost so much from that event, and we’d like to state that our thoughts and prayers are still with you and that we hope to look forward to a brighter future.
The Hurricane touched landfall on Port Aransas in late August of 2017. The hurricane was categorized as a category 4 hurricane, which means that the hurricane can reach up to over 100mph winds, and had a peak intensity at 130mph winds. The hurricane went through Barbados and other Latin American countries first, before slowing down a bit and then crashing into Houston Texas. With the hurricane came over 40 inches of rain, which resulted in massive flooding throughout the area. Roofing companies in Spring TX remembered how vicious the storms were, and how the strong winds picked up many different debris that impacted on homes. The winds were so strong that for some homes, parts of an entire roofing system were ripped right off, exposing the interior of the home to all the rain and storm damage. After Harvey hit its peak strength that it came with in Houston, it started to vear of in the southeast coast, and the devastating winds began to reach its lowest speeds and bringing heavy rainfall, as it impacted Louisiana. Houston and some of the Latin American countries received the worst of the damage as Louisiana just received the tail end of the storm, while still experiencing some of the damage that came with Hurricane Harvey.
We remember Hurricane Harvey as one of the worst natural disasters to ever hit Texas and even the United States. As roofing companies in Spring TX remember that terrible event, our goal is to help our communities today be as prepared as possible for any severe storms that may impact our homes again. Eagle Eye Roofs want to help homeowners across Spring, Houston, and all the other cities and communities in the area be able to survive a storm like that if anything ever comes again. Book an inspection with our team to verify that your home and roof are in good condition for anything that comes during storm season.
